SVITLANA POLUKHINA AS A FOUNDER OF THE MUSEUM IN KRYVE OZERO

Today, museums have become centers not only for research, development and educational activities. They also have their own unique collections of historical and cultural objects of museum significance to attract the public. The article reflects the autobiographical data of Svetlana Oleksandrivna Polukhina, who is a historian and ethnographer, and a museum expert of the Mykolaiv region. She devoted 25 years of her life to museum work and she introduced new approaches to it. Particular attention is paid to organizing local history expeditions and excursion routes to collect museum exhibits and thus to improve the exposition.
The author examines the first steps of creating a rural museum in the urban-type settlement Kryve Ozero in 1991, immediately after the proclamation of Independence of Ukraine, and its activity for the next 25 years.
The author draws attention to the problems of studying and preserving the historical and cultural heritage of Kryve Ozero. And also the author analyzes the path and museum employee growth from the compiler of museum collections to the director of the local history museum of Kryve Ozero.
