TEAM BUILDING AS AN EFFECTIVE METHOD OF TEAM DEVELOPMENT

Abstract

The article includes the team building concept, functions and links with learning and team development. An updated concept of "team building" is proposed on the basis of scientific research, which defines its essence in educational institutions.

The emphasis is placed on using team building methods as an effective way of group development, which affects education and upbringing as well. The article presents an interesting experience of various organizations which are using this technology.  The stages of team development and expediency of using team building methods in the education system are analyzed and offered. New metaphorical exercises, art-games, practical games, team-building training are proposed for preschool education, general secondary education and vocational education institutions and their application at different stages of its formation. In the article the attention is focused on mastering skills to build effective teamwork, a safe environment, to form a stable sense of "we" in the team, to develop communicative and social competencies of students, to relieve stresses and conflicts and to charge positive energy from members. Various researches of scientists who were actively engaged in development of various models directed on increase of team efficiency are considered. Namely, psychological games which make a model of life within the team and adjust it to joint effective activities.
