PECULIARITIES OF THE INTEGRATED COURSE "CULTURE OF GOOD NEIGHBORHOOD" IN THE CONTEXT OF THE NEW UKRAINIAN SCHOOL

Abstract

The article updates the integrated course «Culture of good neighborhood» in Ukrainian primary school. The course was created to acquire students' skills and competencies in accordance with the goals of primary general education, defined by the State Standard. This course as a part of the integrated course «I explore the world» according to the curriculum by Roman Shiyan has the aim of humanizing education and updating educational systems in view of social coexistence within democratic principles. The methodology materials for Mykolaiv region teachers who teach this integrated course in 1–2 and 3–4 grades were created to apply in general secondary education institutions. A description of training primary school teachers for implementing the integrated course «Culture of good neighborliness» in the Mykolaiv region is provided. It has been proved that the effective  facilitation of the integrated course» «Culture of good neighborliness: I explore the world» is possible due to methodological  and didactic support.
