THE ORGANISATION OF A SAFE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT IN PRESCHOOL EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS UNDER CURRENT CONDITIONS

Abstract

The article substantiates the relevance of creating a safe educational environment in educational institutions during the period of martial law in Ukraine. The purpose of the article is to highlight the problem of organising a safe educational environment in preschool education institutions in today’s conditions. During the research process, it has been established that safety is the foundation of a child’s development. The scientific works of Ukrainian researchers on this issue have been analyzed. These works identify the conditions that prevent various forms of physical, psychological, informational, moral, social, and material dangers to all participants in the educational process. Additionally, the concept of ‘health care competence of teachers’ has been clarified, along with the issue of improving students’ health through health-preserving technologies and methods, which contribute to the formation of a correct worldview. In the survey for teachers of preschool education institutions, the model «The Organisation of a Safe Educational Environment in Preschool Education Institutions» is proposed, and the checklist «Creating a Safe Educational Environment in Preschool Education Institutions» is developed in order to systematise and evaluate measures aimed at ensuring the protection and comfort of preschool children. The tools for arranging and creating a safe educational environment in preschool educational institutions in today’s conditions that meet the needs of children of different ages are provided and described. The main components prioritised for the effective organisation of the educational environment in preschool education institutions, which include not only physical safety, but also psychological, emotional, and psychosocial safety, are identified.
