The article provides a comprehensive scholarly and methodological analysis of the figure of the distinguished Ukrainian archaeologist and poet Borys Mozolevskyi (1936–1993), marking the 90th anniversary of his birth. The uniqueness of his heritage is defined as a harmonious synthesis of scientific and artistic worldviews. The author analyzes the artist's worldview, in which archaeology and literary creativity merge into a unified method of profound philosophical understanding of the historical continuity of the Ukrainian people. Special attention is paid to the analysis of the poem «Ballad of the Native Song» as a representative example of B. Mozolevskyi's patriotic lyric poetry. Through the prism of the literary text, the concept of national identity is explored, the phenomenon of «janissarism» (defined as a voluntary loss of historical memory and spiritual roots) is condemned, and the folk song is depicted as an invincible symbol of spiritual resistance and the inner code of the nation. It is shown that patriotism in the author's lyrics is free from mere declaration, relying instead on a sincere emotional experience of Ukraine's historical destiny. The paper substantiates the high educational and pedagogical potential of B. Mozolevskyi's heritage for modern education. The expediency of implementing an integrated approach when studying regional literary and local history material is demonstrated. The practical value of the study lies in the proposed model of an integrated lesson, «Borys Mozolevskyi: An Archaeologist in Poetry and a Poet in Archaeology», which combines literary, historical, and local history aspects. The materials of the article are aimed at subject teachers and extracurricular educators involved in the national-patriotic education of youth and the formation of their cultural identity.
