Abstract

The article actualizes the study of children's emotional intelligence  through acting out. The analysis of various ways to develop the emotional intelligence of preschool and primary school children with elements of theatrical performance is carried out. It is established that the best way to develop and to cognize emotions is theatrical play, fantasizing and creativity.  Emphasis is placed on the importance of being able to understand and express one's emotions, feel empathy, control one's condition.

There are given recommendations for teachers on the use of theatre elements  to develop EI of preschool and primary school  children. An algorithm for introducing and a selection of theatrical activities (exercises, games, techniques developed by a  group of Mykolayiv region teachers) into the learning process  is proposed. The experience of Mykolaiv region preschool educators and teachers on the development of children's emotional intelligence  through immersion in the  emotions dimension is demonstrated.  Levels of emotional intelligence defining and its stages have been developed.
