UNCONQUERED AND INVINCIBLE MYKOLAIV REGION: MILITARY PAST AND PRESENT

(dedicated to the 85th anniversary of Mykolaiv region setting up)

Abstract

Residents of the Mykolaiv region became participants and witnesses of the main military events of the 20th and 21st centuries. It was the region residents' fate    to fight against the Bolsheviks, the German-fascist invaders, and Mykolaiv is now an indomitable fortress that protects the south of Ukraine and restrains the onslaught of Russian invaders. For repelling the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, for the massive heroism and resilience of its citizens, the city of Mykolaiv was awarded with the  distinction «A City-Hero of Ukraine»'. Thus the basic characteristics of the population in Mykolaiv region is relevant to struggle against various invaders and the courageous defense of their land.
